How to Mix & Match Bold Prints

Floral prints weren’t the only thing that sprung on the 2014 Spring runway this season. The catwalk also got a touch of street graffiti at Celine, rose motifs at Prabal Gurug, and tribal prints at Valentino. If you’re wondering how to adopt these electric prints into your spring wardrobe, follow these simple tips for inspiration.

Tip 1: Mix subtle prints with bold prints to keep the outfit in balance.
Yellow Crop Top from Top Shop / Skirt from Jades24 / Black Heels from Zara / Light Blue Fendi Purse from Barneys

Tip 2: Add a hit of print to your ensemble with a statement shoes or purse.
Iris & Ink Bow Blouse from The Outnet / Pink Tulle Skirt by Valentino / Beige Bag by Rebecca Minkoff / Floral Shoe by Stuart Weitzman

Tip 3: Break up a printed dress with a belt and solid blazer.
Polka Dot Dress from Asos White Blazer from H&M Kate Spade Leather Bow Belt from Saks Fifth Avenue/ Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl from Sephora

Tip 4: Mix prints with complementary colors to tie them together.
Floral shorts from H&M / Tie Dye Crop Top from Chiara Fashion / Black Sandals from Top Shop

Tip 5: Rock a matching ensemble.
Matching Crop Top and Skirt from Revolve / Michael Kors Fuchsia Clutch from Farfetch / Saint Laurent Brown Strappy Sandals from Farfetch
